About
I'm a software engineer turned community-builder turned entrepreneur. Building Algorizin, a career bootcamp for foreign-born immigrants in the US to help them land their first jobs. Why? Because I came to the US as an international student, and went through a lot struggle in the early stages of my career.
Despite being a STEM graduate, it took me one year to find a proper engineering job. This is not a unique case. Most immigrants face unique challenges to land their first jobs in the US. This is why I'm building Algorizin. Here students connect with mentors who are from similar cultural backgrounds, and are experts in the industry. Mentors provide 1-on-1 mentorship for technical, career and immigration related guidance.
Before Algorizin, I’ve built multiple online communities (exceeding 280K members) to connect internationals students with mentors in the US to help them with their university admission process. I started my career as a software engineer and used to be an AVP of mobile app division at the financial investment company T. Rowe Price.
I'm open minded, upfront, and have a knack of seeing things from multiple angles. Passionate about future of work, edtech and human-centered technology. I also deeply care about making myself useful to others.
Always up for a new adventure, I've a perpetual thirst for exploring places, cultures, people and ideas. Surfing, reading books, appreciating wildlife and practicing spirituality are few simple things which make me happy. Love anything to do with the great outdoors - from sea to summit.
